Control Panel Restrictions:

• Disable any of the four tabs within the display settings or all of them!

• Disable access to the display settings.  Your window settings, font type, screensaver and password, resolution, and more cannot be modified!

• Disable the password control panel.  Users cannot view or alter your system passwords!

• Disable the network control panel.  Users cannot view or alter your network settings, which could easily disable your internet access or leave your machine vulnerable to hackers!

The Control Panel restrictions allow you disable almost any aspect of the Control Panel of your computer. Display settings can be disabled, preventing window settings, font type, screensavers, passwords, and resolution from being changed. Other Available Options:

• Lockdown Power Administrator.  This minimizes the program and will ask for a password to allow for system changes!

Once the admin has finished editing the security settings, the program can go to "Lock Down" mode. The only way to get back in the main admin console is by a password of the admin's choice.

The Lock Down menu will minimize and lock Power Administrator and ask for a password to maximize it. This process should be done after the Admin has made proper changes to the system security settings.

The Load Custom Security Sets menu will display a dialog window with five preset security levels we have developed based on the computer's environment. Home 1 and Home 2 have a small difference in settings, but both disable the basic areas that can be accessed by an unwanted user. The office and school are on the highest security levels, disabling access to almost every potential area on the Windows Operating System that can cause harm if handeled in a malicious way. Any and all of these once selected does not go active until the user has hit the OK button on each dialog that appears with the proper options checked. By hitting a Custom Security Set, the Admin can still customize which options he wishes to have enabled and disabled. These are simply the specifics that Nitrous Online feels should be set for a computer of this specified location.
